The university community will celebrate George Washington's 284th birthday with a series of campus events that recognize his legacy of leadership. Beginning Thursday, Feb. 18 with a bonfire on University Yard and continuing through the Monday, Feb. 22 George Washington lecture and annual trip to Washington's Mount Vernon estate, the birthday celebrations also include GW's athletics homecoming weekend events and alumni gatherings around the world.
